In general
Our German courses are available:
- throughout the whole year*
- all levels, from "0" (= A1) to university
entrance (= C1)
- as Intensive morning or part time evening course
- with an average of 7, and a maximum of 12 stundents per group
- including a placement test, private consultation, multimedia library/internet and a certificate
Timetable
Our German intensive + integration + summer courses take place all around
the year, in the morning, Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 1:30 pm. and
3:30 with the "summer intensive couse 30".
*For total beginners without any knowledge of German
we have set starting dates (see course
overview
).
Method and Course Material
We teach German only in German with a modern mix of:
- Communicative method basing on real dialogues from 1st day
- Direct method ("German through German")
- Application in role plays, simulations, and games
- Cultural and inteactive German study projects
- Excursions + social activies
Teaching material:
- Basic levels A1 + A2 => "Themen aktuell" and "Lagune"
- Intermediate levels B1, B2 = "em blue + yellow"
- C1 / C2 => "em green" all by Hueber
- TEstDaF / DSH Training by Fabouda
- Our own material + exam modell tests

Levels
If you are not a total beginner of German, you can start your German course on any Monday. We can quickly find out which level is most appropriate for you with an assessment test and a trial lesson.

At Kästner Kolleg you can learn German from "0"-beginner
(A1) to advanced level (C1) in about 45 - 50 weeks. Moreover, we can prepare
you for the TestDaF and DSH exams as in
intensive crash courses (= 2 weeks) to long term semester courses, from 5
to 22 weeks.
